We realized we should be clearer about how we help clients activate their websites and digital assets to grow, and make that work more intentional.

TIF views digital infrastructure through the lens of architecture. Just as an architect might create master plans for a new headquarters or design an expansion for an existing building, digital products require a similar blend of strategic vision and intentional progression.

While we take immense pride in the websites and apps we build, our most impactful work often happens after the initial launch. In fact, a significant portion of our partnerships is built on a single, forward-looking question: “What should we do next?”

A website launch is simply the foundation. At the end of 2025, we had a lightbulb moment. This should not be implicit knowledge. It should be accessible to clients. Growth Plans are how we do that.

What is a Growth Plan? (And the TIF Flywheel?)

A Growth Plan is how Think It First sets clients up for success after a website launch.

It is a structured, ongoing way to improve performance over time, rather than treating digital work as a series of one-off projects. Growth Plans turn progress into momentum by prioritizing the work that consistently drives results.

Start with strategy

At the core of every Growth Plan are two activities: a Growth Strategy Workshop and a Digital Roadmap.

The Strategy Workshop brings key stakeholders together to align on goals and priorities and to identify growth obstacles. Not assumptions. Not surface-level symptoms. A true picture of the gaps in the digital approach that could be limiting progress.

Once those constraints are clear, we build a custom Digital Roadmap. This roadmap outlines a set of prioritized initiatives designed to improve performance over time, with each tactic selected for its potential impact and its ability to elevate the others.

This is where the TIF Flywheel™ comes in.

The Flywheel is how we organize the work that’s proven to drive growth. Over years of client work, we noticed that nearly every initiative we were asked to deliver fell into one of five focus areas: strategy, authority, traffic, conversion, and infrastructure.

Rather than treating these as isolated efforts, the Flywheel helps us think about how initiatives support and compound one another.

Step 1: Strategy Workshop

Every Growth Plan starts with a Strategy Workshop.

Many teams come into this process with a list of priorities they want to execute. Always welcome. But the workshop is structured to help us step back and understand which of those ideas address the core problem and which are simply reacting to it.

The Strategy Workshop also helps us understand where focus is needed most. In some cases, progress requires balanced attention across all areas of the Flywheel. In other cases, one or two areas require concentrated effort before anything else can move forward effectively.

When teams are unclear about their goals, we sometimes need to uncover where friction may be hiding. In this case, we employ a visual diagnostic tool called “The Focus Finder” – a framework exercise that transforms subjective opinions into shared truth. The Focus Finder is great at surfacing misalignment early and preventing execution from stalling later.

By the end of the workshop, we are aligned on priorities, clear on constraints, and grounded in reality. This clarity enables the rest of the Growth Plan to work.

Step 2: Digital Roadmap

Once the Strategy Workshop is complete, we move into the Digital Roadmap.

The Digital Roadmap turns clarity into action. It outlines a prioritized plan of specific solutions to address the constraints identified during the workshop and drive growth.

Each initiative on the roadmap maps back to one or more areas of the Flywheel.

Each Flywheel pillar maps to a set of solutions designed to address deficits in strategy, authority, traffic, conversion, and infrastructure.

This ensures the work is intentional and balanced, rather than driven by urgency or internal hunches.

We’ll put our heads and hands together to devise a set of strategies, tactics, and step sequences that will have the greatest impact for your situation. These may include new landing pages, pillar content, improved form flows, conversion optimization, technical improvements, or deeper integration between systems. We call these delivered services, “TIF Tapas”– easy-to-digest small plates that pack massive depth and big flavor.

While individual tactics can be useful, there’s power in a coordinated plan. And because the Digital Roadmap sequences the work to support the business goals we’ve aligned on in prior steps, we’re engineering momentum towards your Northstar.

Digital Roadmaps are designed to be flexible plans. They are not meant to lock teams into a rigid set of solutions, but to provide clear direction while leaving room to adapt as priorities shift.

Input and a pulse check are welcome throughout the process.

Many companies come into a Growth Plan with ideas they have already been considering. When those ideas align with the goal, we incorporate them. When they do not, we talk through why and work together to find a stronger alternative.

Step 3: Growth Plans in Action

Once the Digital Roadmap is in place, we begin executing the plan.

Our team of strategists, analysts, designers, and developers works through the roadmap, building and refining the most impactful solutions. There are no one-off tactics. Each solution is designed to build on what came before, rather than operating in isolation.

As work progresses, we closely monitor how people interact with the site. Where do they spend time? Where do they hesitate? Where do they drop off? What actions do they take?

This data helps us confirm what is working and adjust when something is not. Growth Plans are not about setting a plan once and blindly sticking to it. They are about learning, refining, and moving forward with intention.

By combining execution and analytics with ongoing insights, Growth Plans help teams stay focused on progress rather than constantly responding to the next request or idea. The result is steady momentum that builds over time.
