Wolters Kluwer Health is a leading provider of information for professionals and students in medicine, nursing, allied health and pharmacy. Professionals and students have long relied on Wolters Kluwer Health textbooks, reference products, and journals. The company’s bibliographic and reference databases, drug information software, point-of-care tools, web-based information systems and online continuing education products also support the delivery of health information via interactive formats. With millions of medical professionals relying on the WK content delivery platform, they were still without a mobile compatible set of websites and landing pages. TIF was tasked with creating a super-flexible, reliable set of designs built on WordPress that were to be infinitely expandable, while also being mobile-compatible.
It’s always a challenge to create web products without a specific intended use. Many clients come to us for flexible web solutions that stay in sync when business initiatives are often in flux. The use of tabbing, dropdowns, and expandable content sliders was key to creating a set of landing pages and mini-sites that could be be molded to work, regardless of their intended use. We also designed a series of automated email templates that called upon specific libraries of unique content that would be delivered to a list of millions of customers.
